Cleaning Silver Jewelry with Baking Soda
I have used a little baking soda and a drop of water to clean sterling silver jewelry. Just rub your silver jewelry between fingers, rinse, and buff dry with a paper towel or soft cloth. You can use a toothbrush but be careful to do this over a towel or bowl incase a stone or accent falls off, you can put it back with a small drop of
epoxy glue or take to a jeweler for repair.
This method can cause scratching and wear on treated finishes, but if your item is old, worn or not of an expensive nature it may rejuvenate the luster and remove some (not all) damage spots.

method.
